Chase consumer checking PDFs usually split the month into sections such as Deposits and Additions, ATM & Debit Card Withdrawals, Electronic Withdrawals, Fees, and Checks Paid. Inside a section the columns are often Date, Description, Amount, and a running Balance. The date is frequently month/day with no year; the year is printed once in the statement period at the top.
A text-based Chase PDF is read in your browser. The file is not uploaded. If the columns on your copy differ from the notes below, change the mapping in the preview before you download.
Amounts inside a withdrawal section are often unsigned, because the heading itself means money out. A deposit section works the other way. Parentheses or a leading minus still mean the opposite direction. StatementSheet uses the section heading as that hint, and you can flip the sign in the preview if a particular PDF prints the reverse.
Typical columns: Date, Description, Amount, Balance. Date order: month/day/year. Currency on the statement: USD.
In Chase online banking, open the account, then Statements, and save the PDF. A screenshot or a print-to-PDF of the web page will not have the same text layer.
The file is read with pdf.js in your browser. A multi-section statement is walked from top to bottom, including later pages.
Chase checking dates are month/day. If January 6 shows up as June 1, switch Date order to MDY and the table rebuilds.
Debits and credits should follow the section headings. Download XLSX, CSV, QuickBooks CSV, or OFX once the preview looks right.
