Banks · United States
TD Bank in the United States prints consumer checking dates as month/day/year and usually shows Debit and Credit as separate columns, plus Description and Balance. This is not the same file as TD Canada Trust, which uses day/month/year. Using the wrong date order will silently swap March 4 and April 3.
A text-based TD Bank PDF is read in your browser. The file is not uploaded. If the columns on your copy differ from the notes below, change the mapping in the preview before you download.
US TD descriptions for electronic payments often include the company name and a trace number on the following line. The trace line has no date and should stay attached to the payment above it.
Typical columns: Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance. Date order: month/day/year. Currency on the statement: USD.
The header should say TD Bank and a US address or routing context. If it says TD Canada Trust, use the TD Canada page instead. The date order is the important difference.
In US TD online banking, open Statements and save the checking PDF.
US TD dates are month/day/year. Check a mid-month row before you export a whole year of files.
Debit and credit columns stay split in XLSX and CSV. OFX uses a negative amount for each debit.
